We are proud supporters of the Tiaki Promise and the Tourism Industry Association, Sustainability Commitment.
We have signed and are on our journey of working towards the NZ Tourism sustainability commitment aims, which are all about working towards a more sustainable Tourism sector.

Here at Wanaka Kiwi Holiday Park & Motels, we are committed to caring for our customers, our staff, our environment and our community. We believe that visitors to NZ also have a commitment to care for New Zealand also and together, with respect and understanding, we achieve this.

Showing respect, hospitality, generosity and care for others.

We are family. Sharing experiences together to provide guests with a sense of belonging.

Guardianship and protection of our land, so that future generations can enjoy our beautiful country.
We realise the importance of using renewable energy sources and have set the example for nearly all other holiday parks by working co-operatively with EECA. EECA works to implement New Zealand Government strategies for energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy in both the private and public sectors. www.eeca.govt.nz
We have installed a large array of Solar water heating panels. These have reduced considerably the use of diesel and electricity used to heat hot water which not only is used for showers but also radiators and under floor heating.
Power Conservation : Wherever possible we are using low voltage light bulbs. All of our external lights and those lighting the buildings are on time clocks, time switches, or proximity switches to conserve electricity.
All the shower heads have been replaced with water conserving nozzles which allow the same enjoyment of water pressure but reduces the volume of water used.
Our parks and gardens have automatic timers or are manually controlled to use only the minimum amount of water needed to keep out trees, shrubs and lawn in best possible condition and healthy. A hardy species of grass is used throughout the campervan park as we do experience long hot dry summers.
We recycle cardboard, paper, steel and aluminium cans, glass and plastic. Also old magazines and any electronic items. You will find several re-cycling stations throughout the Campervan Park clearly marked and with colour coded bins.
We are constantly seeking ways to improve our performance and appreciate any suggestions from travellers who may have other ideas on how we may improve our performance.
We have 2 x Type 2 fast chargers on site, 22kw that are compatible with most Electric Vehicles
